Windows 10: Microphone doesnt work on my laptop - Fix?

Hey so I bought myself the Acer Nitro 5 Laptop and have Windows 10 installed,
I also bought the Fnatic React Headset which uses a mic and a audio input thing sorry for my english

So I wanted to plug it in but it seems like there is only a audio input jack and not a microphone jack on my laptop - Do I really need a other Laptop to use headsets with that kind of inputs or can I fix it somehow without?

Original title: Laptop Microphone totally ignores headset microphone

I have a laptop with an integrated microphone, whilst having a headset with a microphone included.

The microphone on the headset doesnt work, only uses the laptop microphone which is really hard for me to chat with my buddies.

I can hear fine on the headset, the microphone doesnt do anything.

Can someone give me the resolution for this problem?

(My headset is a HyperX - I dont know what type but its a HyperX.)

So my microphone was working 100% fine, everywhere, no problems. Altrough, I reseted my PC (cleaned all files) and now my microphone doesnt work, all of a sudden. I noticed that my windows 10 isnt in the same version that it was when mic worked however I cant update it more. I already tried various things like unninstalling and letting windows reinstall drivers, changes levels of microphone, etc. By the way It is the laptop microphone. I wondering if some had clue how to solve this.

I have same headset as well. But to be sure mine is the Kingston HX model # HX-HSCS-BK.

I can hear other players while in a online game, but I cannot talk to them.

How do I get the mic on my Kingston headset to work?
