  1. Microphone Enhancements Page Just Shows a Link?

So I recently got a new computer. On my old computer everything worked fine and the enhancements page was easily accessed. Now, on my new computer, all it brings up is this screen that says 'andreaelectronics.com' with what I am assuming to be their company logo pictured below. I have never encountered anything remotely like this, and the headphone jack is 3.5mm just like my last PC so this isn't a compatibility issue.

I have tried reinstalling my drivers and have visited the website, all they have are some virtual audio mixing decks. I just want my clean and easy Windows enhancements page back.

  3. Microphone not showing up

    Hi,

Normally, the issue you're getting with the microphone not showing up is caused by compatibility issues or that there are drivers that are not up to date. To isolate your concern, we'd like to know if your microphone was already enabled. To check this, follow
    the steps listed below:

    • Right-click on the volume icon and select Recording devices.
    • Right-click on an empty space inside the window and select, Show disconnected devices and
      Show disabled devices.
    • Right-click on Microphone and select Properties and make sure that the microphone is enabled.
    • Check if the other microphone that you are using is set as default.

Feel free to post back for an update and let us know if you need more help.

    Microphone & Speaking

    Hi tlcadieux2,

There are a number of reasons why you are having challenges in using the Microphone while talking to Cortana.

Below are the different methods on how to get this resolved.

Method 1: Turn on the Microphone in Settings.

This is the most common reason why the Microphone is not working. You can turn on the Microphone by following these steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Choose Privacy.
    • Click Microphone.
    • Under Let apps use my microphone, slide the toggle button to turn it on.

Method 2: Set up Microphone from the Control Panel.

Modifying the Sound Settings may help in resolving your concern. Follow the steps below:

    • Type Sound in Cortana Search.
    • Choose the first search result.
    • Click the Recording tab.
    • If you can’t find the Microphone from the list, right-click on the list then select Show Disabled Devices, otherwise proceed to step 5.
    • Right-click the Microphone.
    • Select Enable.
    • Click Properties.
    • Choose the Levels tab.
    • Set the Microphone volume to a higher value.
    • Choose the Enhancements tab.
    • Tick the box beside the Disable all sound effects option.
    • Hit OK.

Method 3: Update the Microphone driver.

Here’s an article that would walk you through the steps on how to update drivers
in Windows 10. It also includes steps in case you would have to uninstall and reinstall the Microphone driver.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

    Leon
