  1. Microphone Input Detected by System and Apps, Others Cannot Hear on Calls

I'm working with a user who said for the last couple days nobody is able to hear them on calls through their computer, but they can when she calls them on her mobile phone. All calls computer/mobile are using the same exact headset, a Jabra Evolve 75.Calls on the computer are either using a 3CX softphone application or Microsoft Teams. She is using Windows 10 Professional 22H2 on an HP ProBook 450 G8. I ran HP Image Assistant which did not find any noteworthy drivers, just a Bluetooth driver which I did install, and it didn't resolve the issue. I also ran SFC /Scannow through Command Pro

  2. Microphone Detected but no sound input detected

    - My PC has 2 3.5mm microphone jack inputs
    - Upon plugging any (tested on other devices) microphones into these jacks, my pc detects that they have been plugged in

    - However, when speaking, no sound input is detected

    - I have tried ALL options mentioned in this thread Microphone detected but no input sound - Microsoft Community in 2018, the author of which appeared to have the same (unsolved) problem as I.
    - Sound input is detected fine from USB microphones

  3. How can I connect my microphone so I can use the Phone link for a natural phone conversation? I can hear the at the other end of the call but they cannot hear me.

    Hello, Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thanks for your feedback, To connect your microphone and use the Phone link for a natural phone conversation, please follow these steps:

    1. Make sure your microphone is properly connected to your computer.

    2. Open the Settings app on your Windows 11 PC.

    3. Click on the "System" option.

    4. Click on the "Sound" option.

    5. Under the "Input" section, select your microphone from the list of available devices.

    6. Test your microphone by speaking into it and checking the input level indicator.

    7. Once your microphone is working properly, try making a call using the Phone link feature again.

Since this function is implemented through Bluetooth, you also need to find your phone in the Bluetooth and other device options set, delete it, pair it again in the mobile link application, and confirm that all permissions have been enabled on the phone.

Finally, I will provide an explanatory document on the issue of mobile phone fairy tales below for your reference. If you are stuck in a certain step, please let me know and I will provide you with further suggestions.

Microphone Input Detected by System and Apps, Others Cannot Hear on Calls

Microphone working, but not detected in apps. Not working in game chat

    Hello.
I am brand new in this forum and have been searching for similar problems .

I have 2 different headsets. Steelseries arctis 5 (USB) and a Razor (2X3.5mm jack)
    Platform Windows 10
Whenever I connect them, they are working for skype calls and you can see them working in the soundbar under Sounds - Recording.

But.. Most of the time when we try to use them for gaming, especially Fortnite. The chat sounds are not working. We can't hear other players, and they can not hear us. Other sounds are working.
And other days everything works fine..

When we open the "windowsbutton+I" Privacy and Microphone, the allow apps to use mic is on.

Another strange thing is that below where you can normally readout which apps were using the microphones and when they were used is blank. No apps visible. When the chat is working, we can read in the list that they are working and when they was working.

A Quick fix is using discord or skype under gameplay, but this is not the way it is supposed to work. We need help solving this.
When I plug them in to computer Relatek picks them up right away and asks if it is a mic or headset that is connected when using 3,5mm. It also picks up digital input on the steelseries usb connection.

    Kindest regards
