Windows 10: Microphone Issue in Headphone Jack Windows 10

The mic of my headphone is not working in windows 10. It by default takes audio from the main mic of laptop. The headphone is alright. I've tested my headphone in other windows 10 laptops and it works fine. But it doesn't work with my laptop. I am able to hear sounds of videos or other person from my headphone but other person is not able to hear my voice from the mic of my headphone. Even though the headphone is plugged in, it still takes the sound from the main mic of the laptop. What is the issue with this?

Issues with headphones or headphone jack could have happened due to hardware issues. To isolate your concern, we suggest that you update your driver. You can follow this
link for the steps on how to update drivers in Windows 10.

If the issue still occurs, we suggest that you contact your manufacturer to check and troubleshoot your hardware issue with headphone jack.

This issue might occur if there is change in audio settings.

To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

• When you say that "1/8 inch cable port
  Are you referring that there is no headphone port or microphone port on the computer?
• Have you checked the computer specification regarding the audio ports?

I suggest you to check if speaker and microphone driver is available in the Device Manager or not.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

3. Expand Audio inputs and outputs.

4. Check if microphone and headphone driver is available or not.

Headphone Jack does not recognize headset microphone

Hello,

Since a couple days the 3.5mm headphone jack of my computer does not recognize my headset microphone. When its plugged in the audio output works, but it says there is no microphone connected. It does recognize the headphones (audio output).

I already tried all of the following troubleshooting tips:

• The headset works on other devices (Laptop with Windows 11, PlayStation)
  
• Adjusting privacy settings.
  
• Enabling microphone in device manager (however this is not possible because it says its not connected)
  
• Reinstalling the device in control panel.
  
• Updating drives, windows etc.
  
• Other headsets also have the same problem on that port.
