Windows 10: Microphone keeps picking up sound from dekstop audio even when i am using earphone. How to...

Hi I've had this problem just for a few weeks i think in the early january because i started to realize it then.For some reason my microphone is picking up all of the audio from my pc. for example when i am in voice channel in discord and i open a youtube video, people from discord can hear my youtube sound. Another example when i call with friend in line app, and i open youtube, the other person also can hear my youtube sound. However when i call using whatsapp, this didn't show up. When i call using whatsapp, the microphone only pick up my sound and not the youtube sound. Ihave already tri

Headphone, earphone and microphone are not in Sound Control Panel.

Windows 10 64 bit








Stereo mix and line & mic at front or rear panel don't work too.

I somehow managed to get my headphone to play the same thing as my speaker at the same time but that's as far as i got.

 

Earphones only pick up sound, but the microphone doesn't work.

I'm Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor & I understand from the description that your facing issues with the headset microphone not being detected so I suggest you follow the below instructions to resolve your issue.

Fix #1:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type CMD

Step 2:

Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator

Step 3:

Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic and press enter.

Fix #2:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type Troubleshoot

Step 2:

Click on Troubleshoot

Step 3:

Then select Recording Audio and click Run the Troubleshooter

Step 4:

Select Microphone and click next

Note:

Make sure to keep the headset with a microphone plugged to laptop before starting the above fixes.

Microphone still unable to pick up sound from Dragon Speech

Not a techie at all sorry but follow your general drift which is interesting. I've now got a mike input (USB Pro Sound) but how do you make the connection to the headphone output as there's two separate wires ?
