Microphone levels can't be adjusted. No Boost option either

Windows 10 has been so aggravating with this, and I've yet to see a resolution that works from the community. I have a Rig 800hd headset usb/bluetoothed to my computer. I have tried to raised the mic level so others can hear my when I stream or play games with groups but it won't move at all. There is no boost option. I have uninstalled all my drivers. Reinstalled them. I have made a test account, same thing. I have updated Windows and at this point, I'm pointing at Microsoft for the issue.
    Running a :

    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

    Intel Core i7 6800K @ 3.40GHz

    16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz

MSI X99A GAMING PRO CARBON Motherboard
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Graphics

    931GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB SSD

    465GB Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB SSD

with the onboard realtek high definition audio.

I have tried installed several different types of audio drivers, and I still don't have any freaking luck.

Please tell me there's a solution for this. Please.

    :)

  3. Can't boost microphone in Windows 10

Thanks for replying Microphone levels can't be adjusted. No Boost option either :)

I did all the steps listed, but as shown in the screenshot above there is no Microphone Boost slider to modify. And in the "Custom" tab the Microphone Boost box is check-marked so I have no idea why its not showing.

Can't boost microphone in Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the step below and check if it helps.

How to Raise the Mic Volume in Windows 10.

    • Right click on Speaker on the
      System Tray.

    • Select Recording Devices.

    • This will bring the Sounds window on your screen. In the
Recording tab of Sounds window, you will notice the microphone which is active, i.e. the one with a green tick mark. Right click on the active microphone and select its
      Properties

    • Click on Levels tab of
Microphone Properties. This tab exhibits you two sections:
      Microphone andMicrophone Boost.

    • Use the sliders to modify your volume settings. You can take the Microphone Boost slider up to +40 dB. To save the changes, don’t forget to click
Ok button. If you do the modification while the conversation goes on then you will get the immediate feedback of the output sound from the end user and so you can adjust the volume using the sliders as per requirement.

Keep us posted on this issue so that we can assist you better.
