Windows 10: Microphone not being shown anywhere on windows 10

So I have been having issues with getting my microphone to appear on Windows 10, and after trying many things to try and get my Blue Snowball to reappear on windows after randomly not working, it no longer appears anywhere. I've tried many other things and looked at similar issues to mine but nothing seems to work. Since then, I have tried using a different microphone of a friends which is a Blue Yeti Nano, and it also does not appear when I look anywhere, although when I first plugged it in, it showed and said it was setting the device up. Anyone have any suggestions?

I did all the steps listed, but as shown in the screenshot above there is no Microphone Boost slider to modify. And in the "Custom" tab the Microphone Boost box is check-marked so I have no idea why its not showing.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I suggest you to run the microphone troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooter” in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on ‘View All’ on the top left corner.
• Click on “Recording Audio” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.
