  1. Microphone not picking up even with all settings on?

When I use any of my headphone, the mic doesn't pick up at all. I have tested every mic on other PCs and Mobiles, and it all worked except my own PC. When I go to discord and go into a call, it doesn't pick it up, as well as other apps. the in-app settings are all correct and the same as my others that worked, and i also went into my pc settings and my microphone settings are on as well as the access. I have been looking for a solution for a while no and I've done all the basic settings. but nothing changed. the mics worked all perfectly before until I reset my pc. The headphones work as for hearing the audio but for using the mic, it doesn't pick it up at all.

    :)

    Microphone issues

    Hi Michael,

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

    • Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
    • Corrupted or outdated driver
    • Faulty device

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
    • Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
    • Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see
    Geethu B's on this
    link.

We're looking forward to your reply.
