    Microphone not working when headphone is plugged in.


    I am encountering an issue where, upon connecting my headphones, my microphone becomes non-functional. After investigating, I discovered that the microphone on my headphones is not working. I attempted to disable the headphones’ microphone to utilize my laptop’s built-in microphone. However, I noticed that there is only one microphone device listed in the device manager. When I plug in my headphones, this device functions as the headphone microphone, and when I unplug them, it switches to the laptop’s built-in microphone. Essentially, there appears to be a single device driver responsible for

    This is all i know btw when i click headphone it says mic is unplugged and when i do Mic in it says speakers are unplugged and mic is on.

    Lenovo G510: Microphone not working when headphones plugged in

    When I plug my headphones in to talk to friends on Facebook Call, they are reporting that my microphone is not working. It is a Conexant Audio microphone and yes, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, with no luck. Any suggestions would
    be helpful.

    As the title suggest, my internal microphone no longer works (and I believe it is no longer recognized) after I plugged in headphones into a hub that was plugged into USB-C port. Any suggestions?
