Windows 10: Microphone not working with Adobe Connect Application

Hi everyone. I have an issue with the application. my microphone is working perfectly with other apps. it also works when using adobe connect on the browser. however, when using the app, the option to use the microphone is here but no one is able to hear me. i tried the audio and microphone setup. I was able to hear sound on the speaker and while testing the microphone, I was asked to say a sentence and replay the recording. the recording bar was not moving and nothing was recorded. I tried the same using a headset, there was no change. my issue is I can't use the browser since it has limited use in the meeting. and in the app, I cant participate well due to the microphone. please help me. i need to solve this as soon as possible.

Windows 10 Microphone does not work with Adobe Connect

As per the description, you are experiencing issue with Windows 10 Microphone does not work with Adobe Connect on the system.

I certainly understand your concern and appreciate all your efforts in trying to fix this issue.

I would like to provide you with the information that always
allow Flash when you log in and then you will get the Adobe Add-in
which is also important if you are going to be able to share documents from your computer in the main room or in the breakout rooms. Browsers usually ask you to update and so you should have the latest Flash: you just need to allow it.

When you first log in, your computer should ask you to allow
Flash, click Allow and then Remember
as in the Privacy figure. At the bottom of the Adobe Flash Payer Settings, there are five icons – click the ‘microphone icon’- adjust volume and please tick the
Reduce Echo.

If this has not happened, you can still allow Flash when you do the Audio Setup Wizard, and if you are not asked to allow Flash, then you can:

• 
  Right click a grey area in the Adobe Connect Room and you will get a little ‘Settings’ label.
  
• 
  Click this and you will get the Adobe Flash Player Settings box.
  
• 
  Click to Allow and also to remember. You can also click the microphone icon at the bottom to reduce echo.
  
• 
  The above is particularly important for those who find their microphone is working fine in other applications such as Skype but not in Adobe Connect.
  

Also, I would suggest you to try the steps given below.

You have to update your diver, but it's not the driver in "audio inputs and outputs" it's the driver under "sound, video, and game controllers"

1. Run Device Manager.

2. Scroll down to Sound, video and game controllers.

3. Single, left click the small arrow to the left. It will expand the "Sound Video, and game controllers"

4. Single click / select your audio controller.

5. Now you need to tell it to update the software driver.

6. Tell it to "search automatically for driver software".
Note: You have to be connected to the internet.

If this specific download does not fix the problem. Look through your list of Device Manager, and do this with each audio driver. Hopefully, once all your drivers are updated the microphone will work.

Windows 10 Microphone does not work with Adobe Connect

Hi Everyone- I upgraded to Windows 10 awhile ago and found the microphone does not work with Adobe Connect. I teach for an online university and consult with clients through Adobe- the audio comes across jumbled and barely audible despite all the proper
settings. I have searched the forums and none of the solutions worked. I spoke with the university and Adobe- they each blame the other or blame Microsoft. Their respective tech support tried to help to no avail. I was forced to go back to my 8 year old Apple
that worked flawlessly. When I was trouble shooting I had all bars showing both in Adobe and just on the computer, and the speakers work fine. It is just the microphone. So, I stuck it out with my Apple and moved on. Now, 8 months later, I am deciding whether
to stay with Microsoft and renew my O365 subscription. Since I cannot get the microphone to work the computer is of little use to me. I have a few days to decide and I would like to keep my PC for Visio and Project, but its a paper weight without the ability
communicate virtually. This is my last effort to see if anyone can help figure out how to get the microphone to work. Any suggestions before I walk away from Microsoft forever?
