Windows 10: microphone on earbuds connected to desktop via a bt dongle not working

so I'm completely stumped. I've gotten a bluetooth dongle to use my galaxy buds on my desktop, and while it shows up both under output and input in the sound settings headphones and headset respectively, and says "connected voice, music" under the bt tab, I haven't been able to figure out why the pc doesn't pick up the microphone at all. they work just fine both on my laptop and my phone. I've checked through device manager if there were any needed updates, installed the latest intel bluetooth driver, restarted, disconnected, reconnected, ran the troubleshooter didn't find anything, and I

Earbuds microphone[Solved]

Hello I have some random earbuds with microphone but they work in phone. When I plug them into pc into mic jack it doesnt work. When I blow straight into microphone it doesnt detect any sound but when I blow into headphone it does. I tried turning volume up, changing all settings. Like all of options and nothing worked. I also tried different earbuds but they didnt work as well. I also tried to plug them into my sisters laptop but neither my nor other earbuds worked... I did not yet tried splitter but I will soon, but I dont know if this would help because built in mic should work when connected to microphone jack slot. When I plug them into headphone slot I they play sounds but I cant set mic to work. Any solutions ?

 

BT EDR DONGLE Driver Error

I have a 10-year-old Hitachi Starboard Tablet that works fine on my Dell desktop (running Windows 10) but when I plug the BTU02H-G dongle into my Dell Laptop (also running on Windows 10), the Settings screen for "Bluetooth & other devices" on my laptop lists "BT EDR Dongle Driver Error" and the tablet is not discoverable.
How do I update the driver for my laptop or correct the driver error?

Microphone VS Earbuds

my sony earphones were destroyed, so I've bought earbuds instead of it. These earbuds have their own mic under button (there is a button on the cable, that enables microphone from earbuds). Yesterday I've unfortunately clicked this little button, and my
mic in the laptop has been changed for this one in earbuds. now my microphone in the laptop isn't working, even with unplugged earbuds
