    Microphone on various devices doesn't work


    When using Teams, Skype or even voice recorder in W10, I cannot get anything to pick up a microphone.

    I have a USB webcam and a USB headset which I am try to use but without success.

    Windows and the programmes are recognising the devices and the fact that there is a microphone. There are no issues with the hardware both tested successfully on another PC and Windows 10 is a fresh, clean installation.

    Even when manually selecting the microphones I cannot get audio from them.

    I have tried to run the troubleshooter and selected the microphone as default but neither work and now I'm stuck.


    Does anyone have any ideas?

    My microphone and ear-phone doesn`t work. Please help me, I have windows 7 home basic, my computer reproduces a sound, but devices no.

    My headphones microphone doesn´t work

    I recently updated my Asus laptop to windows 10 and noticed that my microphone doesn´t work anymore. Before it was working well and after the update it started using my laptops own mic and in settings i cant change input to anything

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.
