    Microphone privacy settings turn off instantly after opening it. Microphone doesnt work


    Today my microphone's stopped working I talking about headphones and a deafault one I tried many diffrent ways what are showed on youtube but non of them worked They said to go into PRIVACY settings, when i get there i click on ,,microphone", it opens and closes instantly. Same with testing ,,voice active" I dont have idea why it broke and i cant figure it out

    If anyone know solution for this problem, please answer me in comments Thank you

    Camera and Microphone Privacy

    Hi Moustafa,

    This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
    these steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Select Privacy.
    • Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
    • Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

    Microphone not working

    Hey there Carissa, could you try this for me?

    Open Settings.

    Click on Privacy.

    Click on Microphone.

    Turn on the Allow apps to access your microphone toggle switch.

    After completing the steps, you also want to make sure to check the list and enable microphone access for the apps you want, if they're currently disabled. In the case the feature isn't enable, click the Change button and turn on the toggle switch.

    Hi Megan,

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Privacy - Microphone

    Make sure 'Allow apps to access your microphone' is turned on and that Skype is listed as being able to access your Microphone . . .
