Windows 10: Microphone quality deteriorates after restarting PC

I have a MAONO AU-A04. It works fine when I go to device manager and mess around with USB drivers. I say 'mess around' due to the fact there is not a reliable to that solves the issue every time. What works sometimes is going to:sounds>recording>right click on USB condenser microphone>properties>properties again>change settings>drivers>update drivers>browse my computer>let me pick. This used to lead to an option to use generic drivers, but now the only option is to use 'Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio.' If somehow I manage to get the microphone to run with

Cant change microphone quality

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you're able to change the microphone quality.

1. Click on Start icon.

2. Type Manage audio devices and press Enter.

3. Click on Recording tab.

4. Right click on the Microphone and select Properties.

5. Click on Advanced tab.

6. Set the sample rate to CD Quality or DVD Quality.

7. Click on Apply and OK.

Restart the system and check. Update us on the result.

Looking to buy a PC microphone

I'd like to get a microphone to connect to my PC. It only needs to be suitable for voice use and quality.

I currently have a headset and the mike works but is clumsy to use.

Would a USB mike be OK or does it need to be connected by a 3.5mm jack?

Any suggestions?
