Windows 10: microphone randomly disconnected and wont show up in input devices

I got my zealsound microphone about 3 months ago. Worked fine until a day or two ago, when it randomly disconnected. It no longer shows up on my input devices menu at all. Ive tried replugging in every part of the microphone, and it seems to have power as the light is on. I have tried multiple USB ports but it still does not show up. Currently, the only input device listed is my headset, which I'm currently forced to use. Any ideas?

Built in microphone not working

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
• 
  Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
• 
  Click Apply and OK.
  

Step 2: Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.

  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled. Follow the steps given to check that:
  
• 
  Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
  
• 
  Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
  
• 
  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.
  

And also update the audio drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.

My Microphone Would Randomly Disconnect Despite Still Being On

My microphone would randomly disconnect every few minutes for no reason. I have the Streamplify mic and they do not have drivers so it is just a plug and play microphone. I've had this microphone for a few months and just yesterday it has started to randomly disconnect. The RGB and buttons still work but my windows computer somehow couldn't detect my microphone/microphone stopped providing input. I have checked that my microphone is plugged in correctly, the microphone is receiving power because after windows lost the microphone input, the RGB still works. This problem does not occur with my other devices.
It is really annoying because every time it disconnects, I have to replug the microphone knowing it will probably disconnect again. Some methods that I have tried to fix this issue includes:

1. unplugging and repluging the usb

2. changing usb ports (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 as well)

3. disabling USB selective suspend settings

4. disable the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option in device manager

5. troubleshoot with the built in windows troubleshooter (no problems detected)

6. make sure nothing is interfering with my microphone (antivirus included)

7. make sure that apps have access to my microphone

8. reinstalling audio drivers

9. setting my microphone to the default input

This problem does not happen to chrome or certain softwares only. It just disconnects as if I unplugged it, but I didn't.

Every time it disconnects it makes the windows usb disconnect/connect sound effect.

TL;DR
Streamplify mic disconnects for no reason randomly despite being plugged in and RGB still on, everytime it disconnects it makes the usb disconnect/connect sound effect, problem does not occur on other windows device and the only fix I have is to replug the mic only for it to disconnect again a few minutes later. No error codes given, troubleshooter doest detect problems

EDIT 1: Windows gave a notification: USB device not recognized

The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it

Edit 2: Device Manager detects the USB device but detects it as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) (error code 43)

 

External microphone not showing in the Recording tab

My Windows 10 laptop is not recognizing any external microphones. I have two headsets: a Bluetooth one and one for an audio jack. Both headsets work correctly on other devices. When I connect the headsets to my computer, I can hear audio, but the microphones
do not work.

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

• Updated drivers (they were already up to date)
• From Sound Settings, headsets do not appear as options for the input device
• Ran the microphone troubleshooter - headsets do not appear as options
• From Control Panel > Sound > Recording, headsets do not appear as options. I have selected the disabled and disconnected devices options.
• From Microphone Privacy, all apps have access to the microphone.
  

That's everything I found online to fix this problem. Any suggestions?
