  1. Microphone turns me down on sustained inputs

    Hi!

I'm a musician that wants to use my computer to record my singing. However, whatever microphone I plug in outside of expensive audio interfaces are unusable. Whenever i sing and hold out a note the beginning of the note is fine, but the microphone just turns down and off if its any note longer than like a second or something.

What can I do to turn off this noise reduction or suppression setting?

    :)

    • Type in “Sound” in the Search box and select Sound (Control Panel) from the list.
    • Select the Recording tab.
    • Right-click (or tap and hold) on the active microphone input device and select
      Properties.
    • Select the Levels tab. Manually drag the Microphone gain to a higher level and click
      Apply.

Any update from you is highly appreciated.

All usb microphone inputs not working

So both my adapter for xlr to 3.5mm jack input and my newly purchased usb microphone are not recognised. I've tried updating the drivers, using different usb ports, uninstalling the drivers and letting windows do it manually. Every time though, it's listed as having issue's in device manager... Can some help?
