Windows 10: Microphone's device name having random letters being replaced by glitched ones

Hi there!My microphone has been showing a weird, glitched name whenever I plug it in.No sound issues has been occurring but it has been worrying me.My microphone is a Razer Seiren Mini, but has been appearing on my computer as "Microphone ÿÿÿÿÿÿeiren Mini".It's quite weird. I've unplugged it and replugged it back in, same name.It's creeping me out a lot. It's been "Microphone Razer Seiren Mini for the past 4 years i've had this thing. All of a sudden its now.. this.Thanks a lot.

Strange random string of letter file names

Hi, My PC started acting slow randomly after several hours of usage for the last two days so I looked into my threat protection (which hasn't been fully on, oops). I've had these files with random letter file names for a long time and tried looking them up before but never found anything. They're automatically in the exclusion list on Windows Defender without my doing (and the remove option is greyed out). What are they, should I get rid of them and how?

thanks for assisting but my microphone is working now as I have updated my driver and have followed a lot of random steps and I don't know which one actually worked.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
• 
  Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
• 
  Click Apply and OK.
  

Step 2: Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.

  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled. Follow the steps given to check that:
  
• 
  Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
  
• 
  Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
  
• 
  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.
  

And also update the audio drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.
