Windows 10: Microphones Not Detected on ThinkPad Running Windows 11 - Possible Driver Issue?

Greetings!I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon running Windows 11 Pro. I'm facing issues with the microphones built into my Sony WH-1000XM3 and Sony WF-1000XM4. Windows doesn't detect the microphones on either of these devices.The microphones work fine with my mobile devices and on my wife's Inspiron 5593 running Windows 11 Home.In my case, the "format" field is completely blank. On my wife's laptop, a format shows up and the microphones work perfectly. The main difference I noticed between the two laptops is the audio driver: mine is supplied by Intel, while hers is provided by Microsoft.I'd really ap

Microphone issues

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

• Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
  
• Corrupted or outdated driver
  
• Faulty device
  

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?
  

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see

Microphone not detected

I've run it, it says the problem was 'Generic audio driver'. But I don't actually feel any problems on playing audios. My problem was about external microphones not detected, this laptop wont detect any external microphones
plugged in, it will always use the internal microphone. I've done the troubleshoot (recording audio) and the troubleshoot said they can't detect the problem.
