    Hello,This morning, after turning on the computer and the browser, a Russian browser popped up [at least I think so] I found out that it is supposedly a virus, but I can't remove it and I don't want to press anything, because I'll do something wrong. Could you help me with this?

    Hi,

    I had posted a question yesterday and received a prompt reply below. I can not respond directly as any link will direct to/open up in Microsoft Edge and it can't open it as my issue is still not resolved.

    I tried both suggestions but the issue is still there.

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you have issues with accessing Microsoft Edge. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

    I suggest you clear the Clear browsing data option
    of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    • Open Microsoft Edge, click on
      More Action
      at the right top corner.
    • Select Settings and click on
      Choose what to clear.
    • Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files
      and click on Clear.
    Now check with the issue.

    If the issue persists then, I suggest you to
    create a new user account
    and check if you still face the issue. To create it perform the steps mentioned below.

    • Press Windows key + R key, Run window opens.
    • Type control in the open box and click Ok.
    • Control Panel windows opens.
    • Click on User accounts and Family Safety.
    • Click on User Account and then click on
      Manage Accounts.
    • Now click on Add a new user and follow the instructions.
    Now check if the issue persists in the new user account.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    Hi,

    Thank you for using Windows 10.

    I suggest you to try clearing the cookies and check if that helps. Here is the steps:

    a) Click on the three dots on the top right corner of the browser and you can see the settings option.

    b) Under the settings, scroll down and you get a button choose what to clear under
    the clear browser data option.

    c) Click this option and you can selectively clear the cache on your browser. You can choose from browsing history, cookies, and cached files

    Also, you may try in "in-Private" mode and check.


    • You may open in-private by Clicking on Tools icon> Click on
      New InPrivate Windows.

    With reference to "touch-screen keyboard", if you're referring to onscreen keyboard, then I would suggest you to perform SFC and check.
