    hello there, so i recently got an message on my phone from the same number i normally would get those 4 diggit codes, but this time it said some security information has been changed and with a link that are really weird. i can still log on to the account but cant change the code to my profile since i cant get the 4 diggit code and idk what to do here?

    Child Account 2 factor authentication not sending code

    My child's Microsoft account is trying to send him a code. The email option is to my old hotmail account which not longer exists. (moved to outllook). My cell number has the correct last 2 digits and when I enter the full 4 digits it tells me they are unable
    to send code to that number. I am stuck with no way to do the authentication. Suggestions on how to receive the code would be great. Thank You.

    Does Windows 10 have 2 factor signin authentication yet without changing it in Microsoft login?

    Are you saying that if I suggest the 2nd factor would be to send a code to my phone, that would not work????

    Microsoft Account set to use 2 Factor Authentication & Authentication Phone App but it doesn't prompt for authentication when signing in to my Windows 10 PC locally or remotely (via RDP).

    OK I created a 2nd Microsoft account and setup the Authentication App on an old phone I had lying around for 2-factor authentication.

    Step 1

    I logged into this website with that account and it prompted me with the Authentication App so 2 factor is setup correctly on the NEW Microsoft Account.

    Step 2

    I logged in on my Windows 10 PC with that NEW account and it also DOES NOT PROMPT for 2-Factor Authentication.

    I tried to log in via RDP and, again, it DOES NOT PROMPT for 2-Factor.

    My question remains unanswered.
