Windows 10: Microsoft 365 Copilot keeps reappearing in the Recommended Section of the Start menu

Microsoft 365 Copilot keeps reappearing in the Recommended Section of the Start menu, even though I never used it, uninstalled it, and keep clicking Remove from list. I also never use Edge.I have also used Settings > Personalization > Start to choose the More pins option and turn off all the Show options.This only happens on my Win 11 desktop, but not on my Win 11 laptop.This is driving me crazy!!!

Microsoft 365 Copilot is generally available

Starting today, Microsoft 365 Copilot is generally available for enterprise customers worldwide. . Microsoft 365 Copilot combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with your data in the Microsoft Graph, the Microsoft 365 apps, and the web to turn your words into the most powerful productivity tool on the planet. And it does so within our existing commitments to data security and privacy in the enterprise. Starting today, Copilot is covered by the Microsoft 365 product terms applicable to our core online services, data protection addendum, and our commitments under the EU Data Boundary. Copilot is currently supported in the following languages: English (US, GB, AU, CA, IN), Spanish (ES, MX), Japanese, French (FR, CA), German, Portuguese (BR), Italian, and Chinese Simplified. We plan to support the following languages (in alphabetical order) over the first half of 2024: Arabic, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (PT), Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian. Microsoft 365 Copilot GCC is expected to begin rollout during the Summer of 2024. We plan to share more on GCC High and DOD through the Microsoft 365 roadmap in early 2024. Get started Enterprise customers can call their Microsoft account representative to purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot. Customers who already have Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 (or Business Standard / Premium) can start using Bing Chat Enterprise today. And every organization can start taking steps to learn how Copilot works, understand licensing and technical requirements, get familiar with new capabilities, and get their organization ready.

Recommended section in the start menu is blank

Hello, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am here to help and provide assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.

I believe you should see recommended apps, recently used files, etc. Let's try some steps to address this problem:

1. Open the Settings app by pressing Win + I.

2. Navigate to Personalization on the left, and then select Start on the right.

3. Under Layout, choose More pins to reduce the size of the Recommended section.

4. Disable Show recently added apps.

5. Disable Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer. This will clear your recent items list and halt the display of recently opened items in Jump Lists and File Explorer > Home > Recent.

6. Turn off Show websites from your browsing history.

7. Turn off Show recommendations for tips, shortcuts, new apps, and more.

This will clear the Recommended section in your Start menu. After you do this, restart your computer, and follow the steps again to enable everything again.

We know that too much time is spent on the mundane tasks of work and not enough time is spent on the work that brings us joy and ignites our creativity. That's why Copilot is being integrated directly into OneNote. It works with you, embedded in the other Microsoft 365 apps you use daily to help you unlock productivity, unleash creativity, and uplevel your skills.
