Windows 10: Microsoft 365 Word Function for Inserting Audio Files into Comment Threads That Previously...

For most of this year, I have been able to insert different types of media files into Word comment threads on my Win11 laptop, using Microsoft 365. Recently, this functionality has stopped working and I get an error message that says: "Missing content: This comment thread contains content that is not yet supported. Select it to review in the revisions pane."Not only can I not insert media files, but it also no longer allows any other type of file to be inserted, except pictures and hyperlinks, not even other Microsoft file formats excel, PowerPoint, etc.. In a practical sense, it is losing

Microsoft 365 Functions for Word that Work on Windows 10 Not Working on Windows 11

Thank you for your reply, Claudeir. I attempted to try the Repair option and it did not resolve the problem. Let me attempt to clarify the issue. I installed the same application, Microsoft 365, on laptops with Windows 10 and Windows 11 last week. On the Windows 10 PC, I can insert objects (pictures, audio files, etc.) into comment threads and see the file icon. On the Windows 11 PC, I have lost the ability to insert objects into the comment threads and it gives the following error message, as seen in the attached image:

"Missing content. This comment thread contains content that's not yet supported. Select it to view in the Revisions pane."

When I go to the review pane option, I can see the inserted objects, but the recipient of a Word document produced in that manner would not think to go to the reviewing pane. They would think that there is an error because that is what Word is telling them. The ideal resolution to this problem would be to investigate why this capability works in Win10 and not Win11 and correct Win11 to still allow it. If you need any clarification, please let me know.

Windows version 1809 - excel displays new comment instead of insert comment

Did all of the steps you suggested and the drop down list still does not show "insert comment" HOWEVER when I select "new note" from the dropdown list, it works the same as "insert comment". I think the engineers changed the title. Also at the top
of the excel screen is a field "tell me what you want to do"; if you type in insert comment, the insert comment window comes up and looks exactly like the window when you select "new note". As you suggested, I will send feedback to the engineers. Thank

microsoft word 2003

I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.
