Windows 10: Microsoft 5050 keyboard fails intermittently

Hi, I have a Microsoft Comfort 5050 wireless keyboard, which I used with a laptop running Windows 10 Pro. Every once in a while, the keyboard starts dropping characters, i.e., I'll type and only some of the characters will show up on the screen. Unplugging the wireless USB dongle and plugging it back in again solves the problem temporarily, but then it keeps happening. Replacing the keyboard did not help. I can't tell whether this is a problem with the keyboard, the dongle, or the device driver needing to be restarted. Any ideas?

1. What is the exact issues in the Wireless 5050 keyboard?
   
2. Please elaborate some more information when you say “I have to hit backspace to stop my Wireless 5050 keyboard from operating like spacebar”?
   
3. Are you not able to wake up your computer by hitting backspace?

Microsoft 5050 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Not Detected

Hi,
Wireless Mouse and Keyboard 5050 not being detected. Can't re-install drivers as it says they are already on the system, but can't uninstall them either as they are not in my list of programs.
They are working...but I would like to be able to access the Mouse and Keyboard Centre program.
Also get an error saying it can't find MKCHelper.exe.
Anyone have any ideas, please?

 

Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center Failing to Load

Since Windows Build 18362, The Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard center fail to load. States no keyboard available. I am using a Microsoft 5050 Keyboard and it works like a normal keyboard but without the app I no longer have access to the Macros I have set
up. I have tried to make it work by changing USB ports and by using 3 different Microsoft 5050 keyboards. If i revert back to Build 18362 everything works fine. Any suggestions?
