    Microsoft Account Account Problem Pop Up Message despite Shared Experience already shut off

    Good morning. I am continually seeing the pop-up on my pc that a Microsoft Account problem needs to be addressed. The window does not show up every day but frequently enough. It started happening about a month ago or so.

    I have not changed my password and I already have the 'shared experience' settings OFF and they have always been. I'm not sure exactly what the best way to address this is but it has become quite annoying.

    My Windows is up to date and I could use some help stopping it. Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Account Problem - Shared Experiences Error

    Roughly every time I boot up my machine, I get a windows pop-up that there is a Microsoft Account Problem and that "we need to fix your account (most likely your password changed). Select here to fix it in Shared experiences settings."

    When I click to fix the issue, it usually asks me for my password and then says my accounts are fine. The next time that I reboot though, the same pop-up occurs.

    Reading the forums, I haven't found anything that permanently fixes this issue. I've tried:

    1. The Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistance program seems to delay this pop-up for a few reboots before it starts occurring again

    2. I have turned off "Nearby sharing" and "Share across devices" in the Shared Experiences settings

    3. I only have one account listed in my shared experiences accounts.. nothing out of the ordinary

    Appreciate any help that can be given here.

    Creators Update 'Shared Experiences' Email Account Issue

    Hi,

    Since Microsoft 'creators update' about 10 days ago I have been getting the following message pop up every day;

    " Microsoft account problem

    We need to fix your Microsoft account before you can use shared experiences. Select this message to fix things."

    When I select the message it opens a box with my Gmail account listed and wants the password. I put in the password I have but It says it doesn't recognise. So I select the 'forgot password' option below, and it says to enter the characters I see, which
    I do, and then I get following message;

    "Try entering your Microsoft account again, we don't regognise this one."

    So, I don't understand because it's the account that is coming up in the box - an account that is also listed if I go through; Start > Email & App Accounts.

    Note. I don't really care about sharing and I have already tried turning off 'Shared Experiences' in settings, but that didn't resolve.

    Please advise.

  4. Microsoft Account Account Problem Pop Up Message despite Shared Experience already shut off

    Microsoft account problem pop-up message

    I just logged onto my laptop I have windows 10. I had a pop-up message saying

    Microsoft account problem. We need to fix your microsoft account. (Most likely your password changed). select here to fix it in shared experiences settings.

    I do not know if this is a scam or it is an authentic microsoft message. I do know I did not change my password at all. I don't even do anything in shared experiences because I do not share things like that. So my question is 1) Is it a scam or authentic,
    2) how do I fix it?

    Thank you in advance.
