Windows 10: Microsoft account is not closed permanently

I had applied for permanent closure of my Microsoft account associated with a different email id. I received the confirmation saying that my account will be closed permanently on 8/5/2023. However the account is still active. I need to urgently use that email id with an another account and set it as primary alias. How can I get an update on this matter?

Do note when you request an account for closure, we wait for 60 days before permanently deleting your Microsoft account, in case you change your mind or need to access something on the account before it’s gone forever. If you want to reopen your Microsoft account,
just sign in again within that 60 days and we will cancel the account closure process.

I have an msn.com email address and because I felt someone was using it decided to and created a New Outlook.com email address. When I open msn.com I can view each account; they are linked.

Strange, I can right click on the outlook.com acct; there is a delete option....but maybe that just unlinks the email account.

I want to permanently Delete/close the MSN email account....but have not found the procedures to follow; would appreciate the detailed steps to follow.

1. Could you please let us know where exactly you are getting the error message?
   
2. Are you using Microsoft or local account to login to Windows?
   
3. If Microsoft account, may I know which Microsoft account are you using to login to Windows
   

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to unlink your Microsoft business account from Gmail Microsoft account (If Microsoft Business account is linked to Gmail account).

1. Log on to primary
   Microsoft account (Gmail).
   
2. Go to Your Info > Contact Info.
   
3. Click on Manage email address.
   
4. Then try removing secondary account.
