Windows 10: Microsoft account login loop in Apps>Apps and Features

Hi all,I have been running into a loop with my microsoft login at the Apps>Apps and Features page. When prompted to login it asks for my pin, I provide it, then it asks for my microsoft account email, I enter the same one associated with the laptop, and then it sends a code to my email, I enter it. All is good up until this point. Then it loops back to the enter then pin prompt.A Microsoft support agent said I had a corrupted driver and told me to shut down my computer for two to three minutes then press the power button for 20 seconds, or until I heard the driver repair beep. I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

 

Microsoft Account Login Loop in Apps

Every time I try to log into my Microsoft account from Windows 10 Apps (OneNote, Settings, Word, etc) I get into a loop. After choosing my account I need to enter a password. Entering the correct password shows "Please wait" and then just prompts me to enter
my password again. Wrong passwords are detected correctly so communication with the login servers works.

I am using a local user account and do not want to convert it to a Microsoft account either. Is there any way to solve this issue without switching to an online account?
