Windows 10: Microsoft Account Problem - I think I know why & how it could be corrected in some sitautions

Hello CommunityEvery few days I get a message saying there is a “Microsoft Account Problem” It’s quite annoying so I go to Shared Experiences in Settings – enter the main on my account and get back to whatever I was doing.Since this problem points to Shared Experiences section to resolve I am beginning to think it’s a programming bug… I do NOT HAVE any shared experiences, I have ONLY 1 DEVICE – a large desktop PC primarily for Internet and EXCEL.. I am also the ONLY USER on this PC, I have a bckup acct in case of an emergency with the main account. I do not nee

Microsoft Account not syncing WP8.1

Hi Michael,

We suggest that you manually sync your Microsoft account by following these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Tap email + accounts.
• Tap and hold your Microsoft account.
• Tap sync.

Check also if you have the correct date and time set on your phone.

Let us know the results.

Cannot link/add my Microsoft Account to Local Account

Hello Ken,

Im using Win10 Build 1607 with all latest update.

I also run all related troubleshooters:

• Windows Update
• Store Apps (says i have to login in my microsoft account but thats the problem, i can't)
• Microsoft Accounts

No Problem found. Also the suggestions from Microsoft didnt helped.

 

Microsoft account doesn't accept reset correct password

We understand the difficulties you are facing while login to the PC using your Microsoft account.



In this scenario, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if you are able to sign with the correct login credential in Safe mode. Also check if you are connected the PC to the internet, preferably through Ethernet cable.

1. At the login screen click on the power symbol.
   
2. Hold SHIFT key in the keyboard and click Restart.
   
3. After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
   
4. Select advanced options under
   Troubleshoot screen.
   
5. Click on Startup Settings
   
6. Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to Safe Mode
   
7. Login with the correct password using the onscreen keyboard.

Please get back to us with the end result for further investigation.
