Windows 10: Microsoft account set up with invalid email address

I am currently unable to log into my PC. I created my account with an incorrect email address. I have a second account with a valid email address. I have tried all of the solutions previously identified on this forum but without success. Could you please tell me how I can change the account to my valid one without being able to log in?

I have set up a Microsoft account / profile with an invalid email address & the administrator for the device also has the invalid email address



I can sign in to my computer with it but recently signed out of Minecraft and when I attempt to sign back (via xboxlive) in in asks me to verify the code that has been sent to the non-existent email address:

We sent an email to
email address to make sure you own it.

I get the same issue via the Microsoft store also.

Of course I cannot access this email address and hence unable to login. Surely something as simple as validation of an email address at set up would resolve this.

In the meantime how do I access the account and game if I cannot get to the security code? I note that this account (with the invalid email
address) is linked to the same phone as another Microsoft account of mine (with a valid email address). Is there any way I can utilize this to somehow (for example send the code to my phone) resolve this issue? Or perhaps some other resolution

 

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

 

Invalid email address

I am trying to set up my xpress mail account but everytime i enter my pop server i get the a message "invalid email address" Does any one know why? The email address is in fact vaild.
