Windows 10: Microsoft account SMS Verification

i have a problem with microsofts account verification on my computer. i tried to access it today and it says my login PIN has an issue and to change it i have to login to my account. i did so and i came to the point to verify my account where i entered my phone number and waited for code to be sent. i check my phone and its not sent. i checked if i entered the correct phone number and it was correct. i tried to add my recovery email to see if the issue will be sorted but it says it will be updated in 30 days yet i need to use my computer today. is there a way to fix this problem??
