Windows 10: Microsoft Account Windows 10 Pro license to have higher priority than license tied to hardware

I just installed Windows 10 Pro on a computer that previously had been running Windows 10 Home and I have a Windows 10 Pro license connected to my Microsoft Account.


I was told by support that I could install Windows 10 Pro on any computer and run it (activated) as long as I was connected to my Microsoft Account, but it seems that now the computer refuses to activate because of my previously used Windows 10 Home license connected to the machine.


How do I make sure that the activator realizes that my account has a Windows 10 Pro license connected to it?

Windows 10 upgrade license

Hello guys,

I have 1 license of WIndows 8.1 FPP/retail license. I want to upgrade to WIndows 10, but I one thing is unclear to me.
If I upgrade, will WIndows 10 license be retail or it will "turn" into some sort of OEM license?

I ask this because I upgrade my PC, you know, more memory, replace HDD, and I intend to upgrade the MB and CPU to Kaby Lake platform sometime in the future, (and of course sell the replaced hardware)
This thing is not clearly mentioned anywhere.

Two Windows 10 license on the same Microsoft Account.

I just bought a laptop that came with Windows 10 Pro. I already have a Windows 10 Pro license tied to my Microsoft account for my desktop computer. Can i tie the license coming with my laptop to the same Microsoft account or i need to create a new one?
