Windows 10: Microsoft Advertising? McAfee Hostage Takers?

I have Ad Blocker. Yet, McAfee can post an ad that takes up a quarter of my screen. And has made my computer inoperable for the last 24 hours. Should we expect this to be a practice by Microsoft Advertising?***Post moved by the moderator to the appropriate forum category.***

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would suggest you to un-install/re-install McAfee and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Programs and features, right click on the
  McAfee and select uninstall it.
  
• 
  Now install it again.
