Windows 10: Microsoft apps not installed on new custom built pc.

I built a new PC and on my old laptop, I had an office home and student along with it. On my new PC, when I open office app, and then sign in, it recognises my account, but when I try to open a spreadsheet for example, it opens in the browser. So, I tried to install the microsoft apps from somewhere, I went to the microsoft store and then I clicked install on excel, but it didn't start the install, so I thought it must be some sort of account problem, so I tried to follow this video, but on the microsoft office website, there is no option to 'install office 365 apps', so I am not able to figur

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

You can't use it to add additional programs, only to set default programs.

Interestingly for me it shows nothing for text files:








Then if I want to add a portable app like Jarte Plus to open with context menu windows doesn't like it.





It's not present and is near impossible to add even via "look for an app on this PC"

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
