Windows 10: Microsoft apps not working after reset

    Microsoft apps not working after reset


    Hi I have a big issue, after I reset due to an issue xbox app won't open, nor will GameBar. Other Ms apps like calculator, calendar and mail don't open at all and photos has disappeared. I've tried everything and I'm on an expensive gaming pc please help. I've reset a few times afterwards as well. Had to use local reset due to cloud reset getting stuck on 30%, Google chrome also won't work.

    Hi James,

    Since running the troubleshooter for Windows app didn't work, we suggest resetting Windows Store by following the steps below to resolve your issue:

    • Type Apps & features on search box/Cortana and click on it.
    • Look for Microsoft Store app and click on Advance options.
    • Click Reset button and retest.

    Update us with the outcome so we can provide you further assistance.

    Hi PaBluOz,

    Since the language on your PC is already set to Australian English, then I suggest that you reset your Microsoft Photos app. Note that the app's data will be deleted once you reset it.

    To reset the Photos app, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
    2. Locate and select Photos from the list of apps.
    3. Click Advanced options, then click Reset.

    If you continue to have this issue even after performing the above steps, please reply to this thread. The system will notify me so I can get back to you and provide you more answers.

    None of the Microsoft apps are working Windows 10 Build 10240

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    If you have store issues kindly check the Time Zone settings and the system locale and the Time set.

    We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

    • Type troubleshooting in the search box
      and hit Enter.
    • Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions and check.
    If the steps don't work try these steps:

    Try to reset the Windows store and check.

    • Press Win + R on the keyboard to open run Window.
    • Type wsreset.exe to reset the Windows store cache.
