    Microsoft Apps - Word, PowerPoint, Excel - Closing when laptop sleeps


    I enjoy having my word, PowerPoint, and excel apps open on my Surface Laptop so that I can open my laptop and know I have an assignment I am working on for college or research. For the past few weeks, I have had issues with whenever I close my laptop lid or my laptop goes into sleep mode all my Microsoft apps close and I have to manually reopen them. Thankfully they often have my file for me to restore, but this is getting frustrating. I have made sure my laptop is up to date, and I have repaired the apps in the settings. I have not tried to reset the app in settings yet, but that is my next s

    I cannot open any of my Office files; Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    I am working in Windows 10 home version 1909.
    Can not afford an upgrade.
    My Office files are old, dont know what version.
    Cant remember how I updated this laptop to Windows 10 months ago.
    PROBLEM:
    I can not open any of my Office files; Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
    I looked for my Windows old file as suggested, and it IS gone.
    Haveing a small breakdown, will step away and return in a few...ANY DIRECTIONS AND ANSWERS WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!! PLEASE WRITE THEM IN STEP BY STEP FORMAT. Thankyooouuuuuuuu!
