Windows 10: Microsoft Arc Keyboard - not running properly on Windows 10

Hi there, I've got a Microsoft Arc Keyboard, since upgrading to Windows 10 Enterprise Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042, the keyboard is behaving badly. It either doesn't type or it then types multiple of the same letter and just keeps repeating it with no stopping eg I'll type p and it will go ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.


I've actually got 3 of these Arc keyboards in my household and they behave perfectly normally on other pcs not running this version of Windows and all 3 display the same erratic behaviour on this version of Windows.


I've tried to find Driver updates but there's nothing available.


Is this a known issue with this Windows version? How to resolve it please?

The computer is not a notebook or portable device. It has no bluetooth devices connected or visible in device manager, the arc
keyboard is not a bluetooth device either.

I did attempt to follow both methods, but given there are no bluetooth devices, the (only) two bluetooth related services of BT support service and BT Handsfree service are at their default settings of manual trigger.

Method 2:

There are no bluetooth devices.

• Is it one USB dongle for the mouse and keyboard?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue?
• Did you make any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
