Windows 10: Microsoft Audio Dock - mute button not working when external microphone connected and used...

Microsoft Audio Dock connectedExternal microphone connected and selected as default microphone for teamsWhen pressing the mute button, it turns white and red, but it does not actually mute or unmute in Teams. The issue is the external microphone - when unplugged and de Microsoft Audio Dock is selected as default microphone, the issue is gone.I also have the Microsoft Presenter+ connected and this mute button DOES work.How can I solve this?

audio keyboard mute button stopped working, Windows 10

If I press the audio mute button on my keyboard I get a "turning blue" circle where my cursor is on screen but the audio from speakers does not mute. If I go to the speaker icon in task bar and mute from there the audio mutes.

I checked audio drivers, as suggested by MicroSoft, they are all up to date.

any ideas why my speaker keyboard mute button does the "blue circle thing" but doesn't mute audio like it used to? Again if I mute speaker from task bar speaker icon, it mutes.

microphone mutes itself

When i go into properties the mike is muted. When I unmute it works for less than a minute then mutes again. The only suggestion I have found is set as default device which does not solve problem. I have also read it is a virus but I cannot solve with malware or virus scans. It first became a problem just a few weeks ago while skyping. Never had a problem with mike until then.

Troubleshooter finds the microphone muted and fixes, Within a minute the microphone mutes itself again.

The issue could be because of the microphone being in a disabled state. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works:

• Open Control Panel and categorize to view by
  Small Icons.
  
• Click on Speech Recognition and navigate to
  Advanced Speech Options > Microphone > Advanced
  
• Check Real Conexant HD Audio, save the changes and exit
  Control Panel.
  
• Restart the machine to see if the microphone works.
