Windows 10: Microsoft Basic Display Adapter error code31

Hello!I recently faced a problem with my lenovo laptop which is super old and that my GeForce GT 555m wasn't working and when i checked in device it gave me error code43,I tried reinstalling it but whatever i did the same problem appeard until i choose to uninstall it and marked the check box that said "delete the driver software for this device" and after that i couldn't find it anywhere whatever i did untill i went to device manager and chose the tab action from the top and then choose add legacy hardware, it opened the wizard and i made search for hardware automatically and install it, th

Why Windows basic display adapter causing a BSOD?

Hello Paul,After disabling the driver and try to switch Microsoft basic adapter,No problem was occured (thankfully),but the problem was now clearly by the message "This device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code31)"

And beside from Microsoft basic display adapter,there is now a list of Nvidia driver which is a lot of version to choose from [oldest to the latest]. ,maybe I shouldn't force to switch the basic adapter from Microsoft is it's not supported

VGN-FS570, clean install from xp to win 10 having a problem the graphic display, only seeing microsoft basic display adapter, not getting the full screen of the display, cannot change the adapter, tried
to install adapter, not supported by your device

the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,
I have tried numerous technique without success

Microsoft Basic Display Adapter not working properly (error code 31)

I've been getting "graphics device driver error code 31", but when i try to update my drivers both on my GPU (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080) and on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter it says the latest drivers are already downloaded. When I then try to choose manually from the computer it fails.

I've tried:

• Updating my GPU drivers
  
• Updating the Microsoft Basic Display Adapters drivers (both manually and automatically)
  
• Checked for updates on Windows Update
  
• Inactivated and re-activated the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter
  
• Uninstalling the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and restarting my PC
  

I don't know what else I can do
