    Hello Microsoft Community,Recently I installed an RTX 3090 and a fresh install of Windows 11 on a new pair of M.2 drives in Raid 0. Mentioning this because these are aspects of my system which changed since completely normal operation in Windows 10 with no raid. I experienced no problems with the installation, and for the most part the system runs normally, even under load.However, I noticed that my restart cycles were taking around six and a half minutes from shutdown to fresh desktop. I checked out the Device Manager and noticed that two things were experiencing trouble: the Microsoft Basi

    Microsoft basic display adapter not loading

    I get the following error in device manager:

    I'm confused as I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 running two monitors. The monitors seem to work fine. Why is the Microsoft basic display adapter being loaded in the first place (what's using it?) and how do I get it to work?

    Is there a better forum to post this question on?

    VGN-FS570, clean install from xp to win 10 having a problem the graphic display, only seeing microsoft basic display adapter, not getting the full screen of the display, cannot change the adapter, tried
    to install adapter, not supported by your device

    the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,
    I have tried numerous technique without success

    Is the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed alongside your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti card in the Display Adapters section?

    If so, that would mean you also have on-board graphics as well as your Nvidia card and there is no driver loaded for that device

    In Device Manager, expand out the Processors section, what is the exact model of Processor listed there?
