    Microsoft Blocked Scam


    HI,My elderly father was subject to some Indian scammers last week. They made him log on to his computer. He likley changed some settings, but did not give any of his details away, when they asked. He hung up in the end. Now when he boots up, the log on screen shows ''Microsoft Blocked' as the user ID. None of his passwords work. My fathers user ID is not a microsoft online one, just a local PC user. However my microsoft online ID does still appear at the bottom. I've shaded my userid on image as this is a public forum, but I can see it on his PC. Can anyone help us to recover my Dad's PC?

    Yes I thought it was a scam and never called. Will block the number as suggested. Hope no one falls for it.

    Yes that's definitely a scam.

    Windows will never call you and warn you about your license expiring.

    I suggest blocking the number immediately that calls you.
