Windows 10: Microsoft bluetooth ergonomic mouse 1955 stopped responding.

Hello,I have a Microsoft bluetooth ergonomic mouse model 1955.The mouse worked well and suddenly stopped responding. The blue light at the bottom is flashing slowly when power button is turned on, but the mouse is not pairing no responding. When trying to push the bluetooth button at the bottom to switch channels or long press to re-pair, it doesn't respond. I tried replacing the batteries but no change.Appreciate your help,E.

Problem with Microsoft ergonomic Bluetooth mouse

I understand that you are having problems with the Microsoft ergonomic mouse;

What exactly is your PC model and manufacturer?

If it's a desktop, what exactly is the model and manufacturer of the motherboard?

Before answering the question, I suggest you download the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center:

Run the troubleshooter for Bluetooth;

Press Windows key + i and go to System;

Click on Troubleshooting and then on Other Troubleshooters;

Locate Bluetooth and click Run on the right to start troubleshooting;

Do a clean boot;

Press together the keys: Ctrl + Shift + Esc to access the task manager;

Click on start and disable all programs that start with Windows;

Restart the PC and check if the problem persists;

Mouse wheel on Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse doesn't work

I recently bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse.

It is fantastic, except that the scroll function doesn't work when using the wheel -- and it turns out that I never realized how much I use the mouse wheel until I bought a mouse with a non-working wheel,

The wheel itself spins incredibly well, but it does not send a scroll signal to the computer, it seems.

I have removed all software on my system that could potentially interfere with the mouse, but it doesn't fix anything.

I have tried another mouse on the exact same computer and the wheel works. When I plug my fancy new bluetooth ergonomic mouse, scrolling stops.

Sometimes I can scroll from the top of a page once, then it stops working completely. I have a feeling that it is a software issue, not a hardware issue.

Have updated to latest drivers, etc

not sure if this is a Surface incompatibility thing or some software that only kicks in when using the Bluetooth Ergonomic, but it is so frustrating!!!

Anybody got ideas?

 

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse stopped working

So my Sculpt Ergonomic mouse stopped working.

It seems to be some sort of error with the wireless dongle hardware.

I have tried all the various steps listed here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/811798.

When I check the USB receiver's status in the Device Manager it gives me the following error:

Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

Then inside the Properties I get:

Windows has stopped this device as it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I uninstalled and re-installed the device as recommended here CM_PROB_FAILED_POST_START - Windows drivers

No change.

I should note that this mouse is actually a replacement for the first one I had. The first mouse I had stopped working in exactly the same way and I got a replacement from Microsoft through the re-seller.

I fear I might have to go through the arduous process of replacement AGAIN.
