Microsoft Bluetooth® Ergonomic Mouse is dead.

My Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse is dead and I am unable to find a charger for it. I see online it mentions it has batteries; however, I do not see where I could take a cover off for replacement. Is it actually re-chargeable? I see a port in the front of the mouse. What cable can I buy to re-charge the mouse? Thanks!

    :)

  3. Bluetooth ergonomic mouse bluetooth light/bluetooth not working.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I understand the issue you're having with your Microsoft Bluetooth ergonomic mouse. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check the Bluetooth connection on your device: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is discoverable. If you have other Bluetooth devices connected, try disconnecting them and see if the mouse is detected.
    2. Try Pairing with Another Device: If possible, try to pair the mouse with a different device. This can help determine whether the issue lies with the mouse itself or with the original device.
    3. Reset the Mouse: Some mice have a reset button on the bottom. If yours does, try pressing it to reset the mouse.
    4. Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers: On your computer, open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu). Find the Bluetooth category and expand it, then right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select "Uninstall device". Restart your computer and Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.
    5. Update the Device's Software: If your device has any pending software updates, install them. Outdated software can sometimes cause issues with connected devices.
If none of these steps work, there's a possibility that the mouse's Bluetooth functionality has failed. Given that the mouse is fairly new (bought in October 2021 and it's now December 2023), it might still be under warranty. If so, you could consider contacting Microsoft Support or the retailer where you purchased the mouse to inquire about a repair or replacement.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

    Best regards
