Windows 10: Microsoft broke my activation and now I can't speak to anyone about it

I had some ethernet connection issues and Dell Tech Support made me reinstall a clean copy of Windows. In the past, when I have had to reinstall, I have been able to upgrade my copy of Windows Home to Windows 10 Pro using the key that came with my store-bought, retail-packaged copy of Windows 8 Pro. For some reason, the upgrade function in settings wouldn't take my key.


I was able to request a phone call from Microsoft activation support. The technician did some stuff in the console while on a remote session to my computer and then left me alone as Windows was "updating." I was supposed to be able to add my key after the update completed.


Unfortunately, not only did the key not take, I no longer have a legit copy of Windows 10 Home. I now have an unactivated copy of Windows 10 Enterprise.


I really need to get access to Microsoft Remote Access in Pro. At the moment, Microsoft's automated support won't put me into contact with a live human. What can I do to get my machine at least restored to a legit copy of Windows 10 Home or, preferably, Pro?

1. How did you install Windows 10 before performing the Reset?
2. Which edition of Windows are you trying to activate?

Step 1: Check the Status of the Windows Activation

1. Open the Run command (Windows Key + R Key)
   
2. Type in ‘Control system’ and hit ‘Enter’.
   
3. Check the status.
   
4. Let us if you see ‘Windows is activated’ on System Properties Window.
   
   
   

If the Windows is not activated, try to activate with the product key.

Windows product key is a 25-character code used to activate Windows



Step 2: Activate with the Windows 10 product key

1. Open the run command (Windows key + R Key)
   
2. Type in “Slui 3” and click on ‘Activate’ and then check the status of issue.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



Method 1: Try updating the Video card drivers and check if it helps.



Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Video card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Method 2: Try installing the game in Compatibility mode and check.



Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Right click the Game setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
• Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
• Try installing the Game and check.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the suggestion provided by crazzilla replied on August 3, 2015 from the below link and check if it helps.
