Microsoft broke my surface with an update.... How do I get the licence/product key so I don't have to buy a copy of Windows 10?

Microsoft launches Surface Computing

The launch of Microsoft Surface marks the beginning of a new technology category and a user-interface revolution. Surface, Microsoft’s first surface computer, provides effortless interaction with digital content through natural hand gestures, touch and physical objects. The videos really speak for themselves. According to the website, Surface technology will be
available in Winter 2007.

Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).

 

Changing Windows 10 Product Key on Microsoft Surface 3

Hello,

I recently obtained a second-hand Surface 3 and a Windows 10 Pro OEM installation DVD from eBay - I've been trying to change the product key on the Surface, to allow me to have Windows 10 Pro running on the tablet, but I'm continually getting the following
error:

The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. Error Code: 0xc004f0050

The packaging for the installation DVD appears genuine, with a red warning label sealing the envelope. Inside the envelope is a pouch containing the DVD, with the product key on the outside. There's no indication the package has ever been opened before,
and I'm assuming the product key has never been used.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
