This has been a thorn in my side for three years now. Every time I try to use a Windows application on this computer, including downloading something from the store, that "call us overprotective" box comes up. Every time, it asks to send a code to the email address I put in when I got this computer, and gives NO alternatives, not even other addresses I've put into this computer. The problem is, that address never existed in the first place; I accidentally typed in "gmail.net" instead of "gmail.com," and no matter how many times I change my account settings to use the ACTUAL email, the "call us overprotective" box ALWAYS goes back to the nonexistent one, and has done so for multiple years now. I have account settings, passwords, everything, and it STILL refuses to change the destination or at least add actual viable methods to the drop-down menu. The biggest kicker? The computer keeps telling me there are problems with my Microsoft account, and when I hit the "fix problems" button, the same stupid box that seems to be causing them shows up. No, I won't call it overprotective, I'll call it sociopathic. This "function" needs either removed outright (preferable option as it has never helped anyone and hurt many) or given more options. I have absolutely ran out of patience with this. I just want to be able to use Movie Maker, and this thing refuses to allow me to even open it.

    :)

email won't send from Outbox on my nokia

    Hi,

To isolate the concern, please answer the following questions:

    • Which phone and OS version you're currently using?
    • What is the error code that you received?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We also suggest you to send us a screenshot of the error code that you've received.

    Sincerely.

Why exactly is ATi considered be better at HDMI?

I plug my HDMI cable into the card, then into my TV. Those are the steps that I have to do. All the steps you list make absolutely no sense to me.

Microsoft "Call us overprotective" code-sending absolutely unworkable

    Microsoft Releases .NET Source Code

Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET has always been an industry leader in providing a programming and debugging environment for numerous languages including Visual C++, C++/#, J/J#, Visual Basic, and many more. However, despite the general good sentiment about the product, Microsoft was often criticized for not revealing the source code to its libraries. Now Microsoft is taking steps towards open sourcing its code and finally is letting developers peek under the hood as it releases the source code to various .NET component libraries. The initial release will contain source code for the .NET Base Class Libraries (System, System.IO, System.Collections, System.Configuration, System.Threading, System.Net, System.Security, System.Runtime, System.Text, etc), ASP.NET (System.Web), Windows Forms (System.Windows.Forms), ADO.NET (System.Data), XML (System.Xml), and WPF (System.Windows). Later Microsoft will release the source code for other remaining libraries as well, including WCF, Workflow, and LINQ. The move is detailed on the blog of Scott Gu, a Microsoft employee.
