  1. Microsoft captions frequently shows pop-up about other apps using resources

I use Microsoft captions in Win 11 Pro when viewing movies stored on my laptop. Recently, it keeps interrupting with a popup box that says other apps that are running may be interfering. I am not running anything significant besides playback not running in full screem mode. I have tried shutting off all notifications, but this does not work. I have to click the box shut every time and this is really bothersome.Any suggestions for keeping captions from displaying this message would be welcome.Thanks...

Live captions - how to get with insider account?

Thanks Elise. I had actually checked for updates before joining the insider program and none were available, but since then the 22H2 update did show up - so I've completed that step, hoorah! But step two, enabling the captions, is not happening. The live captions option does now show up in 'accessibility' and I have turned it on, but then when it comes to downloading the captions I've been trying for 3 days now and I am just stuck with a box that says 'setting up live captions' with a a sliding blue line (whatever you call that - like download in progress, but it doesn't show where the download is at). I left it running the whole day and nothing is happening. I don't think it's my connection as it's working fine for other things. Any suggestions??

Windows Photos App not saving text captions

Thank you for your suggestion, Andre. I'd rather not work in two apps just to add a caption. But I will look into it if there are no other suggested fixes for this issue.

    Thanks!
