Windows 10: Microsoft Catalogue Update KB4522016

I installed the Update KB4522016 but it does not show up in my update history I also restarted computer after installation. I went to Microsoft Catalogue to download this update because I had received an email from Norton about an emergency patch for security put out by Microsoft, and that I should install it.

Catalogue setup

Hi,

Im trying to setup the catalogue for

fremantle extras free armel + fremantle extras free i386

has anyone got them setup in their catalogue list.

OR has their been a post listing all the N900 catalogues????

Windows update and Microsoft catalogue issues

Hi,

I'm having 2 main Windows problems on my laptop (Dell 1545) running Windows 10:

Automatic installation of Windows updates is not working - when I run the troubleshooter it fails with error code 0x803C0103

Access to the Microsoft catalogue fails - error code 0x80072EFD

I suspect the 2 problems may be related. Having tried various options I recently reinstalled Windows from an ISO file created on 29 March, taking the option to retain apps and personal data. Although this resolved certain other, minor issues, the 2 described
above still remain. I'm currently running through the options listed on the web page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors, and have reached the point where installation of the latest KB is recommended. The description is
'Find the most recent update KB for the version of Windows 10 you have'. Is the build relevant here, or only the version? My Windows version is 1709, build 16299.125. The matching KB is 4054517. There are later builds
for the same version in the catalogue.

Any help would be appreciated, also any alternative suggestions to resolve these issues. I guess the last resort is to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch, been trying to avoid that.

Microsoft has released an update directly to the Windows Update client to improve reliability. Any device running Windows 10 configured to receive updates automatically from Windows Update, including Enterprise and Pro editions, will be offered the latest Windows 10 feature update based on device compatibility and Windows Update for Business deferral policy. This doesn't apply to long-term servicing editions.

At the request of some of our audio partners, we implemented a compatibility change that enabled certain games to query support and render multi-channel audio. Due to customer feedback, we are reverting this change as some games and some devices are not rendering multi-channel audio as expected. This may result in games sounding different than customers are used to and may have missing channels.[/td] [td]To mitigate the issue, open settings in the impacted game and disable multi-channel audio, if this option is available. You can also search in the Windows Control Panel for third-party audio device control panels and disable Multi-channel audio or Virtual Surround Sound, if these options are available. We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late September.[/td] [/tr] [tr][td]Some Input Method Editor (IME) may become unresponsive or may have high CPU usage. Affected IMEs include Chinese Simplified (ChsIME.EXE) and Chinese Traditional (ChtIME.EXE) with Changjie/Quick keyboard.[/td] [td]Due to security related changes in this update, this issue may occur when the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service is not configured to its default startup type of Manual. To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:

Select the Start button and type “services”.

Open the Services app and locate Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service.

Double-click Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service and select Properties.

Locate Startup type: and change it to Manual.

Select OK.

The TabletInputService service is now in the default configuration and IME should work as expected.[/td] [/tr] [/table]
