Windows 10: microsoft change account name for win 10 computer while outlook remains correct

Win 10 settings accounts lists the wrong account for my windows,

outlook has correct name and is operating as normal

Have been dealing with mobile tech and computer tech depts

computer tech states cannot use that name belongs to an organisation

mobile tech verifies computer name changed to correct reinstall now downloading

advised computer tech of the progress of mobile tech account name on computer working now.

within one hour computer reverted to problem name which cannot change

changed and reset password message states password change ...sign in ... password rejected.

Insider program requesting correction to original same as outlook to enable new updates.

when I sign in on Microsoft main accounts page the correct name and password entered automatically

Obviously an error in rectification process in the name of hacking and privacy ...I get that... but two weeks when mobile tech rectifies and when computer tech advised it was reversed.

outlook account config

SO today my friend asked me if i could post this question on the forum:



He wants to configure a outlook account with 1 email, with that outlook account he wants to run the same account in 2 diferent computers he wants the both computer to be connected in network, for example:

• he receives a email and that email is sent to each computer;
• he deletes a email from one computer and it also deletes on the other;
• he moves a email to a folder it also moves on the other computer;

If you guys can help me would be nice!

Change log-on account name?

Hi,

Follow the steps below to change or edit Local user account.

• Select the keyboard shortcut Win+X and select
  Control panel.
• Click View by and select Large icons.
• Click User accounts and select Manage another account.
• Select your user account (the one to edit/rename) and click Change the account user name.
• Type correct user name, click Apply and OK.

Microsoft account name change does not change it anywhere

I had the same problem, too. Here's how i solved it.

Changing your name via Inbox

• go to your outlook inbox → https://outlook.live.com/owa/
• click on your name in the top right corner
• click "Edit Profile"
• click "Edit" behind your name

→ This changes your name on your Microsoft account management page and the inbox.

Apply changes to Windows 10

• open your Windows Settings
• go to Accounts
• select Sign in with a local account instead and complete changing your account to local
• reconnect by going to the Account settings again to Log in with a Microsoft account

→ This will update your name on your Computer
