Windows 10: Microsoft Copilot Pinned to the left taskbars for select users

Hello, Some users in my organization have the Microsoft Copilot logo pinned to their left toolbar, which others do not. The users with the logo pinned did not actively add it, the logo simply appeared.Test Is there a reason for this? Thank you, Brian

Copilot randomly got removed from taskbar options.

I can understand how frustrating it is when an essential feature like copilot disappears unexpectedly.

Here are few steps to fix this issue.

1. Open Settings.
   
   Click on Personalization.
   
   In Taskbar, check if the Copilot toggle is off. If so, turn it on.
   
2. If Group Policy Editor isn’t working, try these steps:
   
   • Press Win + R, and enter gpedit.msc.
     
   • Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
     
   • Look for any policies related to Copilot and ensure they’re not disabled.

Trying to pin 'Microsoft Edge' to taskbar

I would like to suggest that you follow the steps below to resolve your issue:

• Go to task manager. (To open press ctrl+alt+delete)
• Click on Details, select explorer.exe and click End Task.
• Go to file, located on the top left corner of task manager
• Type explorer.exe and click on OK.

Try to pin Edge to taskbar and check if the issue still persist.
