Windows 10: Microsoft Copilot Preview and Microsoft Edge Bing Chat not working

Hello. I am not able to use CoPilot Preview or Bing Chat in standard Edge Browser. For CoPilot and Bing, I get the same error after it tries to load for a while, "We're sorry but we're unable to connect to the service at this time. Please try again later or refresh" I am using HP laptopI have Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5030310 installedI have rebooted multiple times.I have confirmed that I don't have a proxy set up.I do not use a VPN.I have tried with my Avast Firewall turned off.I have checked for additional Windows updates and there weren't anyI have checked wireless

Bing Preview Release Notes: Bing Chat in Microsoft Edge Sidebar

We're very excited by this week’s announcement of the Microsoft 365 Copilot and the power it will bring to unleash your creativity and productivity at work. Some of you may have noticed you’ve received accelerated access into the new Bing preview as part of onboarding tests we’re running. Add or Remove Sidebar and Discover Bing Toolbar Icon in Microsoft Edge Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum Here's a summary of what's changed in the product since our March 9 update: • Adding Bing Chat and Compose to the Edge Sidebar: Users on Edge v111.0.1661.41 and newer will now see the new Bing icon in the sidebar which includes Chat and Compose experiences designed for Bing chat. These experiences will appear if you already have access to the new Bing preview—but if not, you can join the waitlist from the same location. Previously, new Bing experiences in the sidebar were only available in the Edge Dev browser version.

• Testing faster responses: We are testing an optimization on “Balanced” mode that significantly improves performance—resulting in shorter but much faster responses. Responses in the Precise & Creative tones remain unchanged. • Increasing Chat Turns to 15/150: We've increased the maximum number of turns you can have in a single conversation with Bing from 10 to 15. The total number of turns per day has also increased from 120 to 150. • Sharing chat responses: We've added the ability to share Bing chat responses with others in Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email, or using a persistent link.

• Improving contextual understanding: We’ve improved the ability for Bing to absorb larger amounts of context in Creative tone conversations. This expanded context window allows for better grounding, improved summarization of longer documents and pages, and longer conversations. • Including the group in Skype chats with Bing: We announced last month that you can chat with Bing in Skype. You can now skip the line and use the Bing preview in Skype with your friends. Simply join a group chat where at least one person is approved, add Bing as a participant, and everyone can talk with it regardless of their waitlist status. New LaTeX Support in Bing Chat

Last week, we announced updates to SwiftKey and other mobile apps that bring Bing chat to your fingertips in ways that improve your productivity. We’re also excited about yesterday’s announcement that Copilot is coming to Microsoft Viva.

Here’s a summary of what else has changed in Bing chat since our April 7 update:

LaTeX Support: We shipped support for LaTeX markup—allowing Bing chat to correctly display complex mathematical expressions. This makes Bing chat an even more useful tool for learning math concepts or writing technical research papers.

Reducing End-of-conversation Triggers: We’ve heard your feedback that messages would sometimes trigger Bing to unnecessarily end conversations (e.g. “I’m sorry but I prefer not to continue this conversation.” or “It might be time to move on to a new topic.”). This should now occur less frequently than before, and we’re continuing to investigate cases where this happens.

News Grounding: We’ve taken steps to help Bing give better answers if you’re asking questions about news (e.g. “What are today’s top breaking news stories?”). Expect us to make further grounding improvements based on your feedback.

Additionally, we fixed some known bugs—including:

Reducing instances where Bing chat triggered unnecessary duplicative searches.

Minimizing errors that led to Bing chat returning no response to queries.

Bing Chat Microsoft Launcher Integration and Continue on Your Phone

These Release Notes are designed to provide updates on new features that have fully shipped to all Bing Chat users as of today. Here’s a summary of what’s new since our September 1 update:

Integration with Microsoft Launcher: Microsoft Launcher is a home screen experience that helps you be more productive on your Android device. It includes a personalized feed of your calendar, to-do lists, and notes while also letting you customize aspects of your Android experience. Now Microsoft Launcher also includes Bing Chat right on your Android home screen.

Continue on Your Phone: Some conversations need to happen on the go. If you’re chatting on your desktop and want to pick it up where you left off on Bing Mobile, select “Continue on phone” in the upper-right corner of the last chat response. You’ll be presented with a QR code you can use to resume your session on another device.
