Windows 10: microsoft defender antivirus antimalware platform keep appearing multiple times

i want to ask everytime i use my laptop and click update this antivirus antimalware platform keep appearingeverytime im done with updating the antivirus antimalware and click update again it keeps appearing and now there are 2 and 3 appearing and 4 and so on

Windows Defender Antivirus Antimalware Platform - Update Issues

Using Windows 10 I have found it difficult recently to instal the normal definitions and the associated "Windows Defender Antivirus Antimalware Platform" KB 4052623 by the automatic method.

I have four Windows 10 machines and eventually got them all to accept the updates. I did at one stage think about installing KB 4052623 via Windows upsate catalogue. Attempting this, shows 3 files to choose from ? How is a "normal" user expected to know which one to choose. i expect there is a simple explanation and there again perhaps there isn't. Can anyone advise please ? I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with Windows in general but would find the alternatives worse for other reasons.

 

Windows Defender - The list of exclusions does not appear

I'm on 20H2 and I don't have have any exclusions so I can't be any help. However, this is the first time I ever received an antimalware platform pre-release update. Can't explain it.
